Cancel your return to school visit? - Kogi police tell Senator Natasha

Kogi State Police Department has asked Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan to cancel her plan to visit Kogi State Central Senate District.

State Police Commissioner Miller Dantawaye announced the phone in a statement released by ASP William Aya, police public relations officer of the State Police Department.

According to the statement, Kogi police boss said the rally opposed the state government’s announcement ban on political gatherings issued on Monday, March 31.

    Statement reading

“According to intelligence reports on security threats in Kogi State, and subsequent bans on all forms of gatherings and marches by the Kogi State Government, the Nigerian Police Force, Kogi State Police Department calls on the interests of peace in Kogi State to cancel such incidents with the organizers of planned rally within Ok.

The call for cancellation is necessary, noting that intelligence shows that some rogue plans to hijack the process and cause interference in peace in the state. The order cannot endanger the existing peace currently enjoyed by the state.

Therefore, in view of the security threats encountered at the planned rally, the Kogi State Police Command advises organizers to cancel the event to avoid any laws and orders in the state. Because the order will not hesitate to apply all legal anger to anyone who has suffered from peace and order in the state. ”

Despite the state government’s announcement of a ban on political gatherings or gatherings on Monday, Akpoti-uduaghan vowed to continue her “hometown” and added that she would only come to the state to celebrate Eid Fitr with voters.
