The boxing community is mourning the loss of Segun “Success” Olanrewaju, a former national and West African lightweight champion who collapsed and died in a battle in Accra, Ghana.
Olanrewaju was supposed to have a fight on Friday, but the game was cancelled because he was overweight.
He had no money to return home and pay off his debts 💰, and he accepted another fight on Saturday, but this time without approval from the Nigerian Boxing Commission (NBBOFC).
