House Representative Joshua Audu Gana, representing the Lavun/Mokwa/Edati constituency, has told his voters that he will not steal to carry out projects throughout the constituency.
Speaking on Tuesday, April 1, Gana said he was not God and could not answer all the prayers and expectations of the people.
He said this after several PDP stakeholders, including PDP local government chairman Suleiman Kupanti, were dissatisfied with his management. A clearly angry Gana replied that certain expectations of the people were not what he should bear because they did not understand that there were different levels of government. But, he said, he will direct their expectations to the right channels.
“I thank God, I am not God. I cannot answer all your prayers. Only God will answer all your prayers because the people’s complaint is praying to God. When you want to score for anyone, you need to know about public office.
They know me, I am an old soldier, and I am not afraid of anything in my life. I am not afraid of anything but God. If you want to rate me, go check the national budget and check the projects and allocations that belong to the federal constituency of Lavun/Mokwa/Edati. Go check if these projects get 100% of the funding and then you can come and ask me about this, that’s when you can score for me.
But now, when the federal government is not providing any money, do you want me to steal? My father is not a thief, and none of my family is a thief, and none of you will let me be a thief. Whether you are from heaven to earth, I can’t go and steal what is not provided. ”
Garner said he may not have received funding for the constituency project because he was in the opposition.
“The ruling party today is APC, I am the opposition. When you compare to what happened before, it’s different.
The outbreak of the MP is not about getting along well with voters who ask him to stop complaining and go to work. They stress that they have no room for tolerance and incompetence.
