Nantes winger Nantes Winger Moses Simon was nominated for France’s prestigious Africa Player of the Year Award, an honor in honor of the late Marc-Vivien Foé, a famous former Cameroon International.

This season, Moses Simon showed extraordinary skills and consistency in the field, which has made a significant contribution to Nantes’ performance.

The 29-year-old Nigerian winger has scored seven goals and provided eight assists, showing off his versatility and gaming abilities under the guidance of head coach Antoine Kombouaré.

After the nomination, Moses Simon hopes to follow in the footsteps of his fellow countrymen Vincent Enyeama and Victor Osimhen, who have won awards over the past few years.

Legendary goalkeeper Enyeama was the first Nigerian to receive this honor in the 2013-2014 season, and Osimhen won the honor when he ran for Lille in the 2019-2020 season, further cementing Nigeria’s presence in the field of African football excellence.

Kano pillars face selection challenge before the start of the match against Heartland

Kano Pillars face potential challenges ahead of matchday clash with Heartland at 32.

Star players Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi are suspicious of the game due to personal issues. Moussa last drew with Nasarawa United 1-1, while Abdullahhi’s last appearance was against Lobi Stars on Day 13.

The upcoming fixture will see Usman Abdallah heading to the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri facing the heartland. The previous encounter between the two clubs in the first half of the season ended with an exciting 2-2 draw.

In the above match, Rabiu Ali and Ahmed Musa found the net of Kano’s pillars, while Suraju Lawal scored two goals for the heartland, emphasizing the competitive nature of this competition. Both teams want to secure important points in their campaign, with the stakes high.
