The Lagos High Court, located in the Yaba/Surulere Judicial Division, granted an interim injunction that restricted Mr. Adewale Oladapo (aka Biggie a Lagos Socialite) and Oretol Nigeria restricted land that interfered with about four hectares of land. The ruling was made by EO Ashade Honorary Judge on March 25, 2025, a motion filed by Capital Gardens Limited, a claimant in the lawsuit number LD/9195GCM/2025.

After the Court reviewed the affidavit and heard the opinions submitted by the attorney to the claimant, Mr. Abraham Oladipupo approved three main orders that restricted the restriction of the defendants, their agents, private, directors, directors, directors and any other persons, and on their behalf on behalf of the land intervention they challenged to determine the substantive committee.

The disputed land described in the FAI/3454/A01/2024/LA survey program held on February 5, 2024 and signed by registered surveyor AI Fashina, is located in Hampton Manor, also known as Hampton Manor, also known as EletuOdibo Land in Osapa, Lagki Lagki area.
Justice Ashade ruled that the restriction order was intended to preserve the subject of the lawsuit and to prevent any unlawful infringement, awaiting the claimant to fully comply with the practice directives of the High Court of Lagos State in 2019 and to hear any motions on notices regarding the lawsuit in pre-litigation agreements and hearings.

To further protect the land and remind the unsuspecting public, the court also granted an order authorizing Capital Gardens Limited to issue notices on newspapers and media platforms warning potential buyers and third parties not to deal with the defendants with the disputed land. This would protect innocent buyers from making transactions that could later be invalidated or become the subject of further litigation, according to the court.

The court ordered the claimant to make a commitment to comply with the pre-action agreement and to extend the matter until 2 June 2025 for compliance reports and possible further instructions.

The interim decision highlights the commitment of the Lagos State judiciary to maintain due process, to prevent property-related fraud, and to strengthen legal proceedings required in disputes on land ownership and transfer.
