Allegedly stabbed a D3ATH student in track and field competition, teenager charged with Murd3r

“ A 17-year-old was allegedly charged with murder during a high school track and field competition in Frisco, Texas on Wednesday, April 3.

The incident occurred around 10 a.m. at Keukendall Stadium in the Frisco Independent School District. The students participated in the Intercollege League (UIL) 11-5A Championship.

Frisco police report that a student from Frisco Centennial High School stabbed Austin Metcalf, a student from Frisco Memorial High School, after an event dispute. Authorities have not disclosed specific details about the dispute. After the stabbing, life-saving measures were taken against Metcalf, but he was later pronounced dead.

Anthony is charged with first-degree felony murder and is currently in custody without bonds.

The Frisco Police Department expressed its condolences in a statement and said: “The Frisco Police Department is saddened by all those affected by the devastating losses and expresses its deepest condolences to the families, students and employees who have experienced unimaginable pain.” The department confirmed that it is working closely with the Frisco Independent School District and providing support as needed.

With a 3.97 GPA and being known as a 6-foot-height, 220-pound footballer, Metcalf shared his belief in faith and hard work on social media. His last post on X (formerly Twitter) reads: “Believe that God has given me, and my work will be rewarded.”

Anthony, described as a 5-foot-10-inch, 175-pound football player, was still in custody as the investigation continued.
