With WAFCON 2024 approaching, here are the countries with the largest number of trophies since the start of the competition.

The competition scheduled for 2025 has reached a new peak after formally confirming the country’s expectations for the upcoming CAF Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON 2024).

As the game gets closer, fans have begun to show great interest in the game given the success of AFCON 2023 in January 2024.

The host of the tournament has been identified as Morocco and has officially decided on the draw. The 2024 Women’s Cup of Africa will feature Africa’s highest national teams competing for the glory of the mainland.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have nine championships, the country with the highest number of trophys since the Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON). The Nigerian continuous trophy run ended in 2022 by Bayana Bayana of South Africa, and many expect a fierce competition for the 2024 match given how much women’s football has evolved in Africa.
