The owner of Premier League Nottingham Forest Evangelos Marinakis will be reportedly tried to investigate possible cases of sports violence.

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis and four members of the Olympia Commission will face trials with the Greek Judiciary Commission ruling a misdemeanor charge of investigating violence related to the movement.

Marinakis, who also served as president of Greece’s Olympiacos, firmly denied the allegations, accusing Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Allied media of attempting to blackmail him.

According to Greek newspaper KathimeriniThe 57-year-old billionaire will be on trial with Olympia’s vice president Giannis Moralis, CEO Dimitris Agrafiotis and vice-chairmen Kostas Karapapas and Michalis Kountouris.

The allegations stem from a 2023 incident that occurred after the Olympiastomans won 2-2 in Volos. A riot policeman suffered fatal injuries during a violent clash with Olympiacos fans.

Marinakis, who also owns Alter Ego Media Group, maintained her innocence in a detailed statement posted on the official Olympiacos website.

He accused the government of political persecution, saying:A panicked prime minister, along with the media media supported by the Mitsubishi regime, attempted to blackmail me and undermine my independence by re-abuse of the judicial system. ”
