British comedian and actor, Russell Brand vowed to return to the UK to fight the allegations of R@pe and sxu@l ass@Ult. The allegations were linked to four women, and they were said to have occurred between 1999 and 2005. He was charged with r@PE in a woman in the Bournemouth area in 1999 and verbal r@PE and Sxual Ass@ult in 2004 in a woman in the Westminster area in London. He was also charged with hesitantly assaulting a woman in 2001 and sexually assaulting another woman between 2004 and 2005 – both of which allegedly occurred in Westminster, London. This is in a joint investigation by the Sunday Times, Times, Times and Channel 4 after the comedian was accused of emotional abuse by r@pe, sexu@l ass@ults and several women. Brand will appear in Westminster Magistrates Court on May 2. Visiting social media on Friday, Brand denied all charges against him and said he was looking forward to clearing his name, adding that the law was used as a “weapon” against him. He told fans last night in a video on X: “I was a fool before I lived in the life of the Lord. I was a drug addict, a sex addict and an obsessed person. But what I never had was a rapist. I never had an involuntary activity – I pray you can see by looking into my eyes.” He continued: “I will now have the opportunity to defend these charges in court and are very grateful for it.”The brand should fail to appear in court next month and the UK government can seek his extradition from the United States.
