    Why do kids like to watch on PBS

    Sid the Science Kid (also known as Jim Henson’s Science Boy) is a computer animation series in the United States. It aired from September 1, 2008 to March 25, 2013, with a total of 68 and a half hours of episodes produced in two seasons.

    The computer-generated program was produced using Henson Digital Puppetry Studio by Jim Henson Company and then PBS member KCET. The show is produced by motion capture, which allows puppets to express digital animation characters in real time.

    Production began in the fall of 2008 and has 42 and a half hours of plot
    Sid the Science Kid Ordered. The series debuted on PBS Kids Marthasay On September 1, 2008, there was a two-year air commitment.

    The original work title of the series was “What is the Big Idea?” The central character Sid was originally named Josh. The series is the second CGI animation show that uses motion capture technology after Donkey Country

    SID is the host of “SID The Science Kid,” a series targeting preschoolers who started on PBS on Monday. And he had a desperate attention problem, which is now just moderately annoying, but when he was older it would lead him to put these oversized tires behind his car or seek a career in a musical theatre.

    The main character on the show is SID, who is a “curious young man” who uses comedy to solve problems, children about basic science and why things work their way.

    He tries to answer and solve the problem with the help of classmates (May, Gerald and Gabriela), Teacher Susie and his family (his mother Alice, his father Mott, his father Mott, his grandmother Rose and his little brother Zeke).

    Sid’s grandmother adopts a dog in “Hello Dog” (she named Filbert – an action captured by Bruce Lanoil).

    PBS is adopting SID, and he is energetic in a process called Digital Puppetry as an ambassador for the so-called scientific preparation of the education genre. His performance is done in the kind of active style determined by adults, a very young preference, traversing the basics of science.

    SID The Science Kid Series: Why Kids Like to Watch on PBS

    The conceptual content of SID is based on national scientific learning standards, cognitive learning theory, preschool science courses, and preschool education pathways.

    Each week’s plot is built around a scientific theme or concept, as follows:

    Week 1 (Episodes 1-5) focuses on scientific tools and concepts (such as charts, observations, estimates and measurements).

    Week 2 (episode 6-10) focuses on changes and transformations (including attenuation, growth, freezing and melting, and the effects of heat).

    Week 3 (episodes 11-15) focuses on the senses (including touch, smell, vision and hearing).

    Week 4 (episode 16-20) focuses on health (including brushing teeth, eating food, sneezing and exercise).

    Week 5 (episodes 21-25) focuses on simple machines (including wheels, tilted aircraft, leverage and pull).

    Week 6 (episode 26-30) focuses on backyard science.

    Week 7 (Episodes 31-35) focuses on the human body.

    Week 8 (episode 36-40) focuses on the weather.

    Friday’s program is designed to review, strengthen and summarize the central concept of the week.

    The main purpose/objective of SID is the Children’s Science Series:

    • Children are encouraged to think, talk and work with scientists’ natural curiosity about the world of preschoolers.
    • To show that science is around us – we all interact with us and are able to learn scientific concepts.
    • Contribute to school preparation by developing children’s intellectual skills, motivation to learn, and confidence in themselves as learners.
    • Support children’s learning by working with parents and teachers.

    After watching SID, the basic things children practice include:

    • Observe objects, events and people
    • Ask a question
    • Find words that describe observations and exchange ideas
    • Explore and investigate trying to answer questions
    • Observe and measure using scientific tools
    • Record observations using simple drawings and basic charts
    • Use what they observe, measure and record to predict what will happen next and ask more questions
