    Gunner K! Talaba's two brothers

    The gunman has two siblings, 21-year-old Moses Amasandi Basungyu and Moses Mikhinma Basungyu of Wukari Local Government Area, Talaba State.

    “The attack caused tragic losses to two vibrant young men, namely Mr. Amasandi Moses Bruce and Mikhinma Moses Basungyu, who is working on the farm,” the statement said.

    President Samala expressed his sincere condolences to the entire family members of Basungyu and the good people from the Wokari local government. He prays that their tender souls are based on perfect peace, and that family and community find perseverance to bear this irreplaceable loss.

    “This incident is part of a larger pattern of violence in the region, which has been exacerbated by the Jukun-Tiv crisis. As the Wukari local government regional president, Samala has been working to promote peace and reconciliation in the region.

    “He is also actively engaged in various initiatives aimed at promoting the welfare of the people of LGA in Wakari.”
