    Northern governor vows to end cycle of violence following plateau attack

    The Governors Forum of Northern States (NSGF) strongly condemned the recent attacks on Ruwi, Manguna, Daffo and Josho and Hurti communities located in the Bokos Local Government Area of ​​Plateau State, vowing to end the ongoing cycle of violence in the area.

    Chairman of the Forum and Gorbet State Governor, John’s Mohammed Shadowexpressing deep sorrow for the tragic incident, calling for strengthening efforts to bring perpetrators to justice and ensuring lasting peace in the region.

    He described the incidents as a serious threat to solidarity and stability in the region.

    In a statement issued by his spokesman on Saturday in Gombe Ismailaha Father MisilliGovernor Yahaya expressed condolences to the victim’s families and the people of the plateau state.

    He condemned the ongoing violence in rural communities in the north, which continues to pollute the region and the country with bloodshed by innocent people.

    “It is never necessary to take the sacredness of human life for granted. These outrageous attacks on innocent people are completely unacceptable and must be condemned by all. ” Governor Yahaya said.

    The chairman of NSGF praised Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his quick and effective response to the attack and the rapid intervention of security agencies to restore peace.

    He urged security forces to increase their efforts to identify and arrest the culprit.

    Governor Yahaya also called for greater efforts to promote tolerance among communities, especially farmers and herders, to build peace and understanding.

    He reiterated the commitment of the governor of the North to jointly address insecurity, promote social cohesion and promote peaceful coexistence throughout the region.

    “As the Governor of the North, we will continue to deliberately end this cycle of violence by strengthening security cooperation, promoting dialogue and implementing policies that encourage peace and unity.,” he added.

    Governor Yahaya further called on community leaders, religious organizations and civil society groups to assist the government’s efforts by advocating peace, tolerance and reconciliation, stressing that sustainable development cannot flourish in an environment plagued by violence and fear.
