Several gym visitors expressed concern that their fitness center was becoming a hot spot for women seeking romantic connections.
Nowadays, many women choose to expose their clothes in the gym to attract the rich. In an interview with NAN on Saturday, the sports users were frustrated, with some prioritizing their health and fitness goals.
Jason Onwuka, a member of the Festac Stadium, mentioned that he found himself focusing on his fitness challenges due to distractions from social media influencers.
“I prefer the dynamics of the gym, but I’ve seen people obviously meet there and don’t exercise,” he said.
“They would spend hours chatting and laughing, which is not the purpose of the gym.”
He added: “There is always distraction. If you go to the gym with a clear goal, whether it will affect you.”
He said professional women’s gyms tend to be more focused, wearing practical fitness outfits such as leggings or leggings.
Ikeja’s gym traveler Folarin Adekoya said some enthusiasts seem to focus more on socializing and taking photos of social media than on actual exercise.
“Some women wear obvious gym outfits, which raises questions about their motivations,” he said.
“But it’s more than just the sensational outfit. Some fitness travelers use these spaces to connect with romantic partners. I’ve seen women dressed very revealing women – when you try to focus on your workout, it can be distracting.”
