Harrison Gwamnishu, who serves as senior special assistant to civil society and youth mobilization for the governor of the Delta, responds to criticisms about his outspoken stance on rising kidnappings in the community.
He affirmed his dedication to improving safety and would not stop his efforts to emphasize insecurity.
As a human rights activist, Gwamnishu is particularly concerned about the increase in kidnappings allegedly involved in some Fulani herders.
He made the comments in a Facebook post after he kidnapped the airport driver and his passengers on the Issele-Uku highway in an April 7 Facebook post.
“Yes, I’m a government appointment. If you come and tell me to stop posting information about the kidnappings happening around my community, because I’m part of the government. Abatt’s thunder will fire you. Some of us are helping in the government,” he wrote.
