    Police arrest soldier for cutting shoes

    The Niger State Police Command arrested a soldier named Sadiq Sani for cutting off three fingers of shoe seller Abdulrahman Salisu and using a knife.

    Lib reports that the incident occurred at the victims store in Minna, Sallah Day.

    Spir.wasiu Abiodun, the commander’s spokesman, revealed this in a statement on Monday, April 7, 2025, which stated that Sani was in the 2nd div. brig. The garrison was arrested at his residence in the Minna Makera area and transferred to Scid Minna for further investigation.

    “At around 3pm on March 30, 2025, an Abdulrahman Salisu’s 26-year-old Abdusalam dormitory was taken to the Central Police Department, Minna, with three fingers cut off,” the statement said.

    “Preliminary investigations show that victims and suspect soldiers who sold shoes in the Makera area of ​​Minna, a PTE.

    “The dispute occurred due to payment and the said soldier took a scimitar from his pants and tried to cut the victim down on his head, but Salisu raised his hand to block the head, and the soldier eventually cut off the victim’s three fingers and fled the scene.

    “The suspect was later arrested at his residence in the Makra area of ​​Minna and transferred to SCID Minna for further investigation. He was handed over to the Girace troop for further action.”
