Bolaji Tunji, special adviser to the Minister of Electricity Adebayo Adelabu, said that more electricity has been provided to homes and businesses under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu’s government.

Naija News Tunji reportedly said that despite it took 40 years to increase its stake of 4,000 megawatts, President Tinubu generated 1.5 megawatts in less than two years.

Tunji said in a conversation with News Central on Monday that it was some difficult decisions that gave birth to the Ministry of Power that the current national electricity supply improvement.

Adelabu’s aide added that Nigerians have experienced the power of improvement in their homes and businesses.

His words: “The current government, especially the Ministry of Power, has made some difficult decisions to ensure we are at the level we are.

“Before the presidential government came in, we were hovering between less than 4,000 MW. Last time we celebrated such a major problem, around 1984, when we had about 2,000 MW, so far, by this time, by this time, by this time, by this time, it had taken over 4,000 MW, which had been over 4,000 MW. There were almost no 4,000 MW.

“This means there will be more power to choose from for businesses and families in Nigeria. Do you know? This is what people are experiencing now. Before that, it wasn’t always the case. We face so many challenges, and the economy faces many challenges, but today, these challenges are gradually decreasing.”
