Kanye West has caused new controversy through a long-term hatred with Taylor Swift, which shows she played a role in stopping him from performing in the Super Bowl halftime show.
The rapper wrote in an article on X (formerly Twitter): “I was never allowed to go to the Super Bowl due to three moments.
West and Swift’s public conflict dates back to the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, when he notoriously interrupted her acceptance speech, claiming that Beyoncé should have won the award. Rift deepened Kanye’s track citing Swift in his song “Faine” in 2016, and one she said was used without her consent.
The rapper mentioned his 2005 criticism of then-President George W. Bush, George W. Bush, who was the first to be the first to be criticized by the rapper in 2005.
In the same post, West tried to put him “before my time” and therefore tried to exclude it. He even mentioned anti-Semitic rhetoric he had widely condemned, suggesting that his actions before those comments, including his political affiliation, were enough to get him off the Super Bowl stage.
West’s decision to bring Taylor Swift into the narrative has sparked criticism, with many pointing out that he seems to have removed the blame from his actions and controversy. Although Swift has not yet publicly responded to new attacks, the singer is well known for avoiding public places – and fans hope she continues to do so.
