Umeh spoke in a channel television interview Thursday, asserting that Abure’s term has expired and he needs to bow modestly and accept Nenadi Usman.

“The door has been closed (abure), and the only thing left is to let him reflect on the advice given to him by the Supreme Court that party officials should leave the office modestly enough when their term expires.

“His term has expired, and he knows that, he violated an agreement that became the consent judgment of the Federal High Court that he should do the following, and he refused to do it. Mei said.

The senator said the only option is to get Abure to accept the Olive branch of Senator Usman’s National Careers Committee, and he would join the process again if he thinks the party’s people love him and want him to continue as chairman.
