Former National Democratic Party Deputy Vice Chairman (PDP) Olabode George reminded Rivers State Sole executive Ibok-Ete Ibas that his position was not legally recognized.

Former Military Governor Ondo State He told Ibas that despite the court orders prohibiting such actions, he lacked the authority to appoint 23 local governments regional and reorganize the national commission.

The PDP chief warned IBAS in a statement Friday, stressing that he would one day leave his post.

Naija News Reported Justice Adam Turaki Muhammed The Federal High Court in Port Harcourt prohibits the sole administrator of the river from appointing the sole administrator of the local council.

However, he appointed and reorganized the bodies, committees and official committees.

“I want to warn Admiral Ibas: If you violate the spirit of the Constitution, you will be held liable. Your appointment is only six months. Even if the President extends the Constitution, you will still leave, and one day you will leave – because no one chooses you. Because your position is the sole administrator, not legally acknowledged, not legally acknowledged, not legally acknowledged, not legally acknowledged, not legally acknowledged, not legally acknowledged, not legally acknowledged, not legally acknowledged, not legally acknowledged, not legally acknowledged, not legally acknowledged, not allowedHe said.

Chief George further questioned where he gained the authority to appoint and reorganize the board. He asked if he sought approval from the National Assembly under the Constitution.

“What happens to these dates when you take office on September 18? Why violate a valid court order? Have you obtained the National Assembly’s approval to rebuild the board? Do you now have the executive and legislative powers in Rivers State? ” he asked.

He told Ibas that Nigeria and the River State were not under the military regime. The retired Brigadier General of the Nigerian Navy reminded Rivers that the sole executive needed to maintain the legacy he built in the army.

“You don’t have the right to legally appoint anyone. This is not a military regime. The constitution still works. Now the person who uses you will put you under the bus once you leave the office.

“You are honored as a naval officer. Don’t let unconstitutional actions stain your records. You are not drowning in the navy – don’t let politics drown you legally and politically. Now it’s time to apply the brakes, He added.
