The Lagos State Government has blocked 13 markets in the state, including Ketu and 12-mile markets, including ongoing violations, including illegal waste disposal on roads, medians and highways.
National Environment and Water Resources Commissioner Tokunbo Wahab said traders’ actions are contrary to Lagos State Environmental Management and the 2017 Protection Act.
Wahab mentioned that law enforcement actions to protect public health and restore our public places are necessary.
