Arsenal fans can breathe a sigh of relief after club manager Mikel Arteta confirmed Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice were suitable for the match against Brentford.
Mikel Arteta spoke at the London Derby at his pre-match press conference. According to the Spaniard, both Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice are suitable for matches against Brentford.
He said
“With Dec and Bukayo, they’re both suitable. So it’s just a matter of two kicks, they recover well, so they can be used tomorrow.”
The two players played a huge role in defeating Real Madrid’s Gunners 3-0 on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, while Bukayo won a free kick from Declan, scoring two goals before Moreno won the game 3-0.
After knocking in the game, the England international was forced to leave the wild too early.
He also talked about Riccardo Calafiori, who was injured during his recent break due to international duties, resulting in him missing out on matches against Fulham, Everton and Madrid.
He said
“Ricky’s progress is very good. I think it’s hard to give you a timeline because he needs to step up, especially with more people around and how he reacts. But he’s in a good position.”
Arsenal fans will hope these players will be especially suitable at the end of the season, especially if they reach the finals of the UEFA Champions League.
