The defendant without a fixed address is facing a charge related to grazing cattle at an unauthorized location. According to police prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, the crime was committed at 7:30 a.m. on April 1 in Ewu-Ekiti.
Oriyomi told the court that Abubakar illegally allowed his cattle to grazle in restricted areas, an action that violated Article 2 and should be punished under Article 7 of the Ekiti State Law, which prohibits cattle and other ruminants.
The prosecutor asked for an adjournment so that time could be given to review the case files and collect his witnesses. As of the time of submission of this report, the District Judge’s decision on the bail application and the date of future hearings is pending.
