    FG Setting Committee Study on the Impact of Trump’s Tariffs on the Economy

    The federal government has set up a subcommittee to study the impact of President Donald Trump on the national economy.

    Naija News Reports said President Trump imposed Product tariff 14% From Nigeria to the United States.

    In response, the Economic Management Team (EMT) was chaired by the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Economic Coordination Required searchesa meeting of key sectors and agencies was convened to assess the financial and economic impacts of recent trade-related developments.

    According to a statement by the ministry spokesman on Friday Mohammed comicsIn particular, the focus is on the announcement of tariff measures by the U.S. government and its potential impact on Nigeria’s economy.

    “Although Nigeria’s main exports of crude oil have not yet been directed to crude oil, EMT noted that there was a decline in international oil prices.

    “To support evidence-based decision-making, EMT has established a subcommittee responsible for a detailed review of the direct and indirect economic impacts of emerging tariff measures and the transfer of global commodity prices,” It read.

    The Subcommittee includes representatives from the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning (including the Federal Budget Office) and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)

    The Subcommittee also held an inaugural meeting this week and will ensure that the results of its findings are not delayed.
