Former Super Hawks coach Christian Chukwu died at the age of 74.
According to Vanguard, a famous figure in Nigerian football died on Saturday, April 11, 2025, but the details surrounding his death are not yet clear.
Naija News Recall that false reports about Chukwu’s death were circulated in 2021, and the legendary coach refuted the rumors during his 70th birthday celebration on January 4, 2021.
He said “I’m very embarrassed by the news that I’m dead. Several people have been calling me around the world since the news came out. I’m still investigating the source of this story.”
Christian Chukwu is affectionately known as the “Chairman” and is an outstanding player and coach.
