Is the Opposition Alliance a failed joint venture? Gandujie

Abdullahi Ganduje, president of the National Progress Conference (APC), dismissed a recent visit by the opposition led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, an ineffective and futile attempt to the ruling party or President Bola Tinubu. Gandujie described the opposition coalition as a joint venture where power failed.

He made these remarks during a polite visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari’s residence in Kaduna, where he led members of the APC National Working Council (NWC). Ganduje stressed that APC has seen significant growth in membership and popularity, especially in the past two years. According to Ganduje, this progress solidifies the APC’s position as the ruling party in Nigeria and the largest party in Africa.

The APC’s election success, including securing the presidency and winning most off-season elections, attributed the growth to that growth. Ganduja attributed these victories to the party’s strategic moves, which he believes have increased its visibility and expanded its membership.

The visit was held hours after the visit of opposition leaders led by Atiku Abubakar, Ganduje was described as a post-Sarah tribute, who admitted that many members of the NWC were abroad during the Sallah celebrations. He also highlighted the purpose of the visit, which aims to carry out activities and progress under the leadership of former President Buhari about the APC, including the party’s success in attracting members of other political parties.

Ganduje also talked about APC’s efforts to enhance grassroots participation. He noted that the National Working Committee (NWC) launched regular weekly meetings, which facilitated more stable interactions with various support groups, national chapters, international groups, party members among diaspora and foreign envoys. To build on the fate of the party, the NWC introduced a people-centered approach to campaign management, shifting its focus from Abuja to affected countries, and participating in the inauguration of the campaign committee.

Additionally, Ganduje mentioned the expansion of APC’s membership, citing high-profile politicians who recently joined the party, including former Senate Chairman Anyim Pius Anyim, former Labour gubernatorial candidate Edwin Nkwegu, former Labour gubernatorial candidate, Senator Obinna Obinna Obinna Obinna Obinna Obinna Obinna Obinna Obinna Obinna Obinna Obinna Obinna Obinna Obinna Obinna, Uche Ekwunife ekwunife from Anambra and many others.

In response, former President Buhari thanked the APC leaders for their visit, assured them of his continued support for the party and expressed satisfaction with the Nigerian acceptance of the APC.
