Shamsudeen, son of Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, asserted that his father would not support the presidential ambitions of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

In a message shared on his X account (formerly Twitter) @shamsudeen_bala, he answered a user who expressed optimism about the potential cooperation between Atiku and Governor Mohammed Mohammed and the People’s Democtart (PDP).

Shamsudeen elaborated on Atiku’s previous sabotage of his father’s re-election campaign by recognizing the opposition and opposing his opposition in Bauchi and assembled prominent figures.

“To be honest, it will be difficult.” he wrote.

“Because even if he wins, he’s not doing anything other than the old scores of settled. He doesn’t support us in 2023 – he supports APC candidates and uses Bauchi Elites to oppose us. We can hardly survive. He makes it clear that he doesn’t value us enough to have the conversation.transparent

His comments highlight the ongoing cracks in the PDP ahead of the next election cycle.

Here is Hausa’s social media chat.

At the same time, the President of the National Progress Conference (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has brought the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to the home of former President Muhammadu Buhari In Kaduna State.

Naija News The visit comes after recent contacts between opposition leaders and the former president, the report said.

Recall that the former vice president and 2023 People’s Democratic presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and prominent politicians such as El-Rufa’i have previously met with Buhari at his residence in Kaduna State.

Political analysts believe the opposition’s visit is part of a strategy to oppose the incumbent government’s united front in the upcoming 2027 general election.

It is worth noting that in the days before the opposition leaders visited, Buhari welcomed discussions with the governors affiliated with the APC.

The former president reiterated his dedication to all the Progress Conference (APC) earlier last month.
