Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus (renamed portable) was arrested by agents from Kwara State Police Command.

A spokesman for the Kwara Police Command confirmed his arrest in a statement issued on Sunday SP Andrew Angregate-crewem, He explained that the singer’s arrest was based on a petition against him that bordered serious charges including criminal slander, life threatening, incitement, character assassination, potentially resulting in a violation of peace and the use of abuse and insulting words.
Naija News Report petition was written by a person to the suspect Mr. Sahid Sahidcommonly known as “Osupa”.
According to the petition, an arrest warrant was obtained from a district court sitting in Ilorin and police agents were sent from Kwara Command to Ogun State.
According to Ejire-Adeyemi, the agents arrested the portable in Abeokuta and brought him to Ilorin.
She added that the singer is still in custody and has plans to sue him.
Used Aadeymi says: “The Kwara State Police Department wants to inform the public that, after receiving the petition from a Mr Okunola Saheed, detectives at the Kwara Command have taken appropriate procedures to investigate the legal measures of the applicant after receiving the petition from a Mr Okunola Saheed.
“The petition involves serious charges, including criminal defamation, life threatening, incitement, personality assassination, which may lead to violations of peace and the use of abuse and insulting words.”
“Given the weight of these allegations and the supporting evidence presented, the command obtained a valid warrant from the District Court sitting in Ilorin.
“According to the action of the warrant, the command’s agents headed to Abeokuta, Ogun State on Saturday, April 13, 2025, and the suspect was arrested at about 19:25 hours. He was immediately taken to Ilorin for further investigation.
“After his arrival, the suspect’s statement was made in the presence of legal representatives from both parties. He is currently in custody and arrangements to prosecute him to the court without delay.”
