Ndume never passed a bill, Natasha performed more than his 22-year legislative career

Daniel Bwala, special counsel for media and policy communications, mocked Sen. Mohammed Ali Ndume, Bornonan, to compare his performance in his 22-year legislative career to fight Kogi Central Sen. Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan.

Naija News The report said that Bouwara asserted in a “Sunday Politics” interview with the channel television that Natasha’s performance in the Senate has surpassed the legislature’s two decades in less than two years.

The president’s aide also claimed that Ndom never sponsored a bill that dismissed the senators’ claim to sponsor the establishment of the Northeast Development Commission (NEDC).

According to Bwala, during Ndume’s majority leader and chairman of the Senate Defense and Army Committee, the Senate did not take any meaningful steps to resettle his displaced voters.

He said “This is a senator who has been a member of the parliament for the past 22 years; four years as a member of the House, about 16 years as a senator. However, his 120,000 voters are still in Cameroon as internally displaced people.

“I can give you the figures of the funds allocated to Borno in the south if you want, but none of the items can be displayed.

    “He never passed the bill.

“It’s a lie that he wants to march as a sponsor of the bill to establish the Northeast Development Commission. It was sponsored by Senator (Murtala) Nyako.”

However, Seun Okinbaloye, the host of the show, pointed out the evidence that Ndume visited its constituency and interacted with his people, but Bwala replied, “Now are you going to visit people? A project? The money has been sent to that place for actual projects. Even the drill holes he said he drilled, they are dry.”

Bwala further stated that Ndume’s political success often relies on state power rather than mass support, adding that the senators failed to use the media to advocate for the return of displaced Borno South residents who are still in Cameroon.

He added, “He never won the elementary school. It was always handed over to him. He hid behind the governor during his visit. In fact, he was smashed to death in his village in 2023.

“He should use the media to call on the president to help bring his people back from Cameroon.

“The Senator Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan has been in less than two years in office, but she has done far more for her constituency than Ndume’s 22 years. I challenged him to come out and told us what he did. Even the House of Representatives of his voters did better than he did.”
