Ruben Amorim put Onana against Newcastle United after disappointing Europa League Against Lyon. He said sometimes, players are disconnected from the team and separated from the team.
“Sometimes, you have to push the player to play again; sometimes, you have to let him disconnect slightly. Tomorrow, André will prepare for the next game under training, so I think this is a good time for André to disconnect.”
After his defeat to Newcastle, he was asked whether Onina would play against Lyon in the second leg of the Europa League.
