Sevilla sports director Victor Orta admitted that bringing Kelechi Iheanacho was a bad decision.
Iheanacho joined the free transfer on Laliga last summer but failed to make any meaningful impact.
The Nigerian striker did not register for goals or assisted with nine league appearances before lending to the British Champions Club in January.
“I want to clarify that the first two forwards were added, and were actually third-place forwards because there was a starter like Youssef and a forward who later showed up like Isaac,” Orta told Futbol Fantasy.
“But it’s clear that the bet on Kelic this season is a mistake and we’re going to analyze why we’re doing that, and now we’re doing that.”
