
Alhaji Ganiyu Kehinde, a 45-year-old vehicle spare parts dealer, was arrested by Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Forces, Kwara State Command for alleged behavior towards Homos* and the derogatory disparagement of two teenage boys in the LPATA-OLOJE area of Kwara State Capital Iilorin.
The victim’s parents and community members reported the incident on April 14, 2025 at the headquarters’ gender unit.
They claimed that the suspects were involved in homosexual behavior with two teenage boys (detained names), aged 15 and 19 respectively.
“The suspects, after having a knowledge of their physical body, committed a monetary gift, tempted the victims with the help of monetary gifts, in an Ilorin statement.
He said the victim further revealed that the suspects had repeatedly attacked them by anal sex in his residence and an unfinished building in the Oco-Oloro area of the Ilorin metropolis.
“Victims are currently undergoing medical and psychological assessments to support their recovery and ongoing investigations,” the statement added.
The suspect denied all allegations of S*Xual penetration, but admitted allowing the boy to sleep on his chest and described the interaction as harmless, the statement said.
The suspect will be prosecuted in court after completing an ongoing investigation as required by law.
Commander Dr. Umar Mohammed stressed that the charges against minors, especially, are serious crimes and are a direct attack on the moral structure of our society.
He vowed: “We are determined to ensure that we serve justice and to book such an outrageous criminal.”
