Umar Auwal admitted that he was involved in cases of different charges, armed robbery, motorcycle and phone robbery in different areas of the state and Jigava state, and provided the following details:
I. In the Sabon Gari dormitory in Kano, he admitted to stabbing a “Boka” to D3ATH and stole his Infinix Hot 40i phone, which he sold for N40,000.
ii. In the Kurna dormitory in Kano, Umar also admitted stabbing another man d3ath and stole his Samsung S26 phone, which he sold for N160,000.
iii. In Zechuanzhou – He admitted to a man in the Linger LGA of Jigava State that he stole his motorcycle and he sold it for N300,000.
The suspect is currently in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department of Homicide (CID) at the Command to investigate the authenticity of his confession and further necessary actions.
Police Commissioner, CP Dr. Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, thanked Umar for his decision to surrender and urged others involved in similar crimes to follow suit. The order remains committed to ensuring the safety of the lives and property of all residents of Kano State.
He further reiterated that the criminals would have no hiding place in the state. Therefore, they should repent and surrender because no stone is forgotten when cutting off the state’s criminal activities.
