Kaduna State former governor Nasir El-Rufai said the government of President Bola Tinubu in Nigeria’s history was “the worst and most corrupt”.
El-Rufai explained this in an interview with a reporter at Katsina State on Monday, April 14.
He described the government as the most intolerant person since Nigeria resumed civil rule in 1999.
“This is the worst federal government in Nigerian history, and all the indexes show that. This is the most corrupt and intolerant government in Nigeria. It is the most verbal government that relies on false propaganda.”
He accused the federal government of spreading falsehoods about the country’s security situation.
“They lied that Nigeria has improved security. They read out the number of gangsters, except what we know are the leading bandits. In Kaduna, the dogo gide is still nearby, and Boko Haram terrorist Mallam Abba is still alive. Bello Turji is still there.
El-Rufai said insecurities remain in many parts of the country as the federal government failed to address the root cause of the crisis.
“How many local governments have the bandits occupied in Katz State? How many areas in Zamfara and Sokoto State were occupied by bandits? And because you are in the government, do you think nothing will happen?”
