Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim has made the latest news on Joshua Zirkzee’s injury ahead of the Europa League match against Lyon.
The Portuguese international confirmed that Joshua Zirkzee will speak at his pre-match press conference for the rest of the season. According to him, forward players are expected to miss the rest of the 2024/25 season after a hamstring injury.
He said
“He’s been in this season and he’s not going to play again, so we’re ready for the next season. It’s tough, he’s improving in every aspect of the game. It’s hard for any player, but he has to prepare for recovery.”
How did Joshua Zirkzee get hurt?
Joshua Zirkzee stood out last weekend in Newcastle’s 4-1 victory over Newcastle.
Who does Amorim choose to replace Zirkzee?
United will now rely on Rasmus Hojlund and Chido Obi-Martin, the strikers for the rest of the season. Hojlund has scored eight goals in 41 games of all games this season, and his 17-year-old Chido has yet to score for the first team.
Manchester United supporters will hope the team will achieve positive results, which will be enough to get them to the semi-finals of the Europa League.
