The Kano State Police Command removed a criminal network that specifically targeted gun smuggling into the state and reclaimed 19 manufactured revolver rifles with 114 real-time cartridges and 6 spent cartridges.
State Police Commissioner CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori revealed this at a press conference at Bompai Police Headquarters on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
“After credible information received from a community member around 3:45 pm, a group of police officers arrested a 22-year-old Ahmad Mu’azu, ‘M’, Abdul M. Sadiq and Abdul M. Sadiq, ‘M’42-year-old M’42-year-old, all Kuntau Quartters, all Kano Qubterated Revolver Revolver Revolver rifles s cp sterters”kano, kano, kano”.
“During the investigation, the suspect led investigators to arrest an Arma-ya’u Lawal, alias Agwada, ‘M’M’Gwale Lga, Kano, Kano’s 37-year-old and Rifles One Aliyu Sharif supplier “M”, M Municipal, 40-year-old Municipal, who revealed that he was supplying Riflee riflee flalpaleau sound to Plalpleau.
“Further investigation resulted in another 18 (18) rifles, a total of twenty (20) of which 14 (114) live cartridges and 6 (6) expanded cartridges.
“The case is under investigation.”
