Recent reports now show Kevin de Bruyne received his first club “Love Call” ahead of the highly anticipated 2025 transfer window.
Belgian star Kevin de Bruyne has officially confirmed that he set out at the end of the season for a transfer window in June 2025.
Kevin de Bruyne is preparing to move to Manchester City for free this summer, sparking global interest in signing iconic midfielders. Among the suitors is MLS Side Chicago Fire, which reportedly took a formal move to land on Belgium International.
Although De Bruen is still evaluating his next step, Chicago Fire has expressed real interest in getting services. It’s not the club’s first high-profile pursuit – they have previously tried to sign Neymar before the Brazilian chose to return to his childhood club Santos.
De Bruen is considered one of the main midfielders of his generation, with an outstanding career at Manchester City, with six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five Calaba Cups and one Champions League title.
Several MLS clubs are linked to potential moves, including the New York Football Club, Miami and Chicago Fire. San Diego Football Club was once considered the leader, but it was reportedly no longer controversial.
Meanwhile, Miami International Miami currently has DeBruen’s MLS discovery rights, giving them a potential advantage. However, their currently designated player slot machines are full, meaning any deal could require De Bruyne to accept a substantial salary cut to join Lionel Messi and others in South Florida.
Chicago Fire, on the other hand, has an openly designated player paired with Jonathan Bamba and Hugo Cuypers, although they first need to get Debruen’s rights from Inter Miami.
