    Davido Talks’ 5ive’ album and the global rise of Afrobeats in exclusive Mixmag interview

    Nigerian superstar Davido Mixmag.

    In a frank and extensive interview MixmagNigerian music icon Davido shares exclusive details about his upcoming album 5iveand his thoughts on the global rise of Afrobeats.

    Davido revealed when talking about the inspiration for the project 5ive More than just a milestone. This reflects his personal growth and artistic evolution. “I always like to provide good work and good music.” He said, suggesting that the project will continue to release cohesive, influential album tradition. “This is sure to be another one on the classic Davido album.” He added confidently.

    title 5ive It has special significance for the Afrobeats superstar, marks his fifth studio album and symbolizes a key theme throughout his life. “I named the album ‘5ive’ because it was my fifth album, which made the fifth great thing about it now is what is happening in my life – change, growth and hope,” David explained.

    In addition to music, award-winning artists have delved into the evolution of Afrobeats and its continuous expansion of global culture. Davido reflects on the development of this genre, highlighting representative weight and a shift in global perceptions of African music. “We have to be very cautious and understand that we are bigger than us now.” He said. “We represent a whole population. The whole culture and the African community have come and changed the way we think about being Africa. It’s a different moment than when we started.”

    He also talks about his early days in the industry and the skepticism he faces about international labels.
    “This African American is coming soon. We will be the biggest, we will be the hottest.” He recalled Sony executives. “Then they looked at me like I was crazy. Now watch them rush to Nigeria to sign every Tom, Dick and Harry.”

    As one of Afrobeats’ most well-known faces, Davido continues to use his platform to celebrate African excellence and enhance the voice that has swept the world. and 5ive From the Earth, fans can look forward to a powerful combination of storytelling, rhythm and passion that further strengthens his legacy.
