The presidency announced that despite being in Europe, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is still fully involved in the governance of Nigeria.
According to Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser for Information and Strategy, the president’s absence is temporary and the earlier communication schedule is about two weeks. He confirmed that Tinob would return after Easter holidays.
Onanuga said in a statement:
“The president left Paris for London on the weekend and has been in constant communication with key government officials, overseeing important national affairs. This includes providing directives to security chiefs to deal with emerging threats in parts of the country.
“He returned to Abuja and resumed his duties at Aso Villa at the end of the Easter holiday. The President’s commitment to duties remains unwavering and his government continues to play an effective role under his leadership.
“We appreciate the public’s attention and ensure that all Nigerians are taking over uninterrupted rule.”
