The former APC chairman has disintegrated the party.
Nigeria News Nalin The report said that the former chairman of all the progressive conferences (APCs) of Ben Nwoye’s Enugu State Chapter has abandoned the party.
The Nigerian news platform learned that Nwoye announced the APC’s resignation at an Enugu press conference on Thursday, April 17.
He said his decision to abandon the party stems from the collapse of APC in the state’s leadership.
Nwoye also noted that he left the party after a successful consultation with key political stakeholders and their supporters.
While he did mention which party he would join, the former APC scribe said: “In 2013, we were exhausted together a bunch of brooms had been loosened and permanently dispersed when they were called unprinted names.
“The party’s leaders in the southeast are completely involved in the politics of fighting spirit. They are not interested in adding another state to the two states controlled in the southeast.
“In their case, the supremacy of the Party is measured by the low-key oppression of the political enemies they perceived. What they do, without resorting to the core principles of the APC position – justice, peace and unity. At least, the Zonal leadership in the Southeast has lost its direction, to say the least,” Nwoye said.
He also said that under President Bra Tinub, the APC’s position at the national level and its strength in the National Assembly, is rejoicing in power across the country.
“To make the situation worse, APC state leaders have called for party elders and disdainful and disrespectful reconciliation. Loyal Party members loyal to party unity are seen as conquered and captured political fighters.”
