Three officials from the National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have been hospitalized after the gunman raided Thursday night in the Jahi area (FCT) in the federal capital region.
Femi Babafemi, a spokesman for the agency, said in a statement Friday, April 18.

He said three NDLEA personnel involved in the raid with persistent gunshot wounds. One was shot on the ribs, and the other two were shot on their backs and legs.
He said the injured officers were initially stabilized at police clinics in Galki 1 area and then they were transferred to Abuja National Hospital for further medical treatment.
NDLEA’s Chairman/CEO Brig Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (RTD) praised the police clinic staff for their timely support.
He also wants to thank the Chief Medical Director of the National Hospital for his personal connection with the treatment of the injured.
