Former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi attended the state caucus meeting of all the progressive conferences (APCs) on Friday.
Fayemi’s presence refutes rumors that the former solid mineral minister may defect.
The former governor said in an article on X Handle that the meeting was an opportunity to reflect on the party’s progress.
“I attended the State Caucus meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, held at the residence of HE Otunba Niyi Adebayo in Iyin Ekiti. It was a great opportunity to engage with our party leaders and key stakeholders, reflect on the progress we have made, and exchange ideas on how to further strengthen our cohesion and impact,” He said.
Fayemi praises the governor stillWorking in the state. He praised the unity of party members in the state.
He showed more confidence in the APC in terms of discipline and solidarity among the state members.
“I commend Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his outstanding performance and commitment to the development of our country. He has won our full support to maintain the outstanding work he has done for our party and the people of Ekiti.
“It is really exciting to witness the unity, discipline and a sense of purpose among party members. I am optimistic about the goals we can achieve together.He added.
Naija News The report said that the former governor Ekiti dismissed rumors of his plan to defect from the ruling party on March 10.
However, he said the party needs to make democratic internally.
“My attention caused a story that circulated on several online platforms my defection from All Progress Conferences (APCs).
“As I have reason to state in the past, I am a card with a foundation member with the APC and the position has not changed.
“While I have been on the custody of greater internal democracy and inclusion in the ruling party, I think it’s not too late for our party to change course and move towards greater inclusion and internal democracyHe said.
