Presidency debunks the report of armed personnel, denies vice president Shettima's entry into the villa

The presidency refuted media reports that Vice President Kashim Shettima has recently been denied access to the presidential villa, saying the claim was “completely fabricated” and “a wild expression of wishful thinking”.

In a statement released Saturday, April 19, Stanley Nkwocha, senior special assistant to the President of Media and Communications (Vice President’s Office), accused certain unnamed blogs of curating “deliberate and well-planned false movements” for sowing, which were designed to sow and curated chaos and hinted at non-contracts during the presidency.

“The latest report in this string of false information claims that the vice president was denied access to the villa. It was a difficult attempt to make it to make his Excellency and Vice President of the Office Kashim Shettima, GCON. As a record, this kind of thing has never happened. ”

Nkwocha dismissed allegations of armed military roadblocks and limited restrictions with the vice president, not only “founded” but also “so far from reality, which can only be accepted by those unfamiliar with the internal functioning of the Nigerian government.

““`The latest publications of some recent obscure blogs claim that armed military forces have hindered the Vice President’s entry into the President’s Villa is not only the wildest expression of wishful thinking, but also clearly shows that the providers of these stories have exhausted their ink and imagination. It is a story far from reality, so that those who are not familiar with the inner workings of the Nigerian government can entertain it. ”

It further noted that earlier this week, the president also smeared reports about campaign posters, including the image of President Bra Tinub and Vice President Shetima in the 2027 elections, marking it as another desperate attempt to exert political tensions.

“Although regrettable, it is understandable that prank makers are still underestimating the bond and strength of goodwill between the president and vice president,” Nkwocha said. “These fairy tales have no purpose except prank and distraction.”

The presidential office reiterated the vice president’s commitment to duty, saying Shettima remains focused on supporting President Tinubu’s proposal of the government’s agenda and will not be called a “media circus.”
