The Plateau State Police Department has confirmed a pastor in the Barcelona local government area!
Sources told security analyst Zagazola Makama that the victims identified as 40-year-old Pastor Yohanna Bitrus were attacked and attacked by unidentified assailants who also stole his motorcycle.
The report was filed by a resident who informed police that the incident occurred at around 11:20 pm on Friday, April 18, 2025.
After receiving the report, Barcelona’s sub-district police took the patrol to the scene, where they found the victim’s chest cut off.
Pastor Bitrus was taken to Bassa Cottage Hospital, where he was confirmed by the attending physician D3AD.
After the incident, a joint team of military, police and other security agencies was immediately deployed into the surrounding forest in order to pursue the suspect.
