Governor of Jigava State Nnamdi talked about the idea of residents defending their own gangsters.
-
This comes after the former Army Chief of Staff Danjuma came up with the idea.
Governor of Jigava State Umar Namadi answered the former Army Chief of Staff General Theophilus Danjuma, his thoughts on his insecurity in the country.
Recall that Danjuma, who spoke at a public event at Talaba State University, advises residents to start defending the infamous herders and bandit attacks.
“My warning from a few years ago is still as effective today as it was then. Nigerians must get up and defend themselves. ”
“We can’t continue to sit down and watch, while bandits, terrorists and criminal gangs have massacred our people.” Danjuma said
Nnamdi reacted to this, in an interview with Channel TV Sunrise every daynoting that the situation in the country has not yet reached the level of citizens wielding ammunition, adding that this would lead to anarchy.
He (Danjuma) is a very senior security officer who deserves respect. But if he says citizens should be allowed to defend themselves, I think you are creating anarchy.
“His words need to be carefully analyzed.
When we took office, we adopted many strategies and brought in experts. We also hired traditional rulers and established a standing committee to communicate with the people. Now, they know that fighting or killing each other is not the solution.
