Lagos State Police Command arrested a 24-year-old man, Sowe Temidayo Igbekele, allegedly K! lling and dismembered his father, Babatunde Sowe Kayode, 60, at his residence in the Osadi area of the state.
Police sources told security analyst Zagazola Makama that the suspect was arrested on Sunday, April 20, 2025 after a report was submitted by a female relative, Oshodi, Igbehinadun Street, Alakara branch.
According to sources, the incident occurred at the same residence at around April 17 at 9:00 a.m.
The motivation behind the terrible behavior has not yet been determined.
He said a group of homicide detectives visited and filmed the crime scene, while the bodies of the deceased were evacuated and stored in a public morgue for autopsy.
The suspect who fled the scene after the incident was tracked and arrested at Oshodi’s hideout on April 20.
