Lagos Police Chief Moshood Jimoh saidHe would better tell the child that his real age is the mother, not the birth certificate.
Jimoh shared this view while speaking on channel television on Tuesday, April 22. He appeared on TV to resolve the issue surrounding a 17-year-old viral sensation Quadri Yusuf, who was arrested in January and was jailed.
He was imprisoned last week after a public outcry. In an interview with the channel TV this morning, the police chief was asked why the minor was arrested, arraigned and remanded in jail.
He said, respond
“The record we have is that the boy says he is 18 years old, the best person to tell you that a person’s actual age is the birth certificate that the lawyer is marching. It should be investigated because the birth certificate is not issued on the mobile phone. We all know how to issue a birth certificate. Even the declaration of age is not issued on the phone.”
Quadri turned into a viral sensation after being captured on the camera before Peter Obi’s convoy.
