The troops in operation Lafiyan Jama’a have neutralized three suspicious armed robbers to recover weapons from Kaduna State.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama’s security analysts on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 that the incident occurred around 6:30 pm on Monday to be based on the supply of the arrested suspect.
The three suspects were arrested earlier in a series of armed robbery attacks and are assisting the troops in an investigation, sources said.
During the interrogation, the suspect reportedly admitted to hiding weapons and ammunition in a forest location and offered to bring the troops to a hiding place.
However, on the way to reach the site, the suspect allegedly tried to escape by attacking the soldier and trying to steal his weapon.
The troops responded immediately, and in the process with all three suspects.
“The rapid response from the troops avoids potential escapes and ensures the safety of the escort team,” the source added.
The operation is part of the ongoing efforts of security forces to get rid of Kaduna and the areas around criminals.
