The alleged kidnapper kidnapped the parish priest of St. Gerald’s quasi-diges, Kurmin Risga, Kauru local government area of Kaduna State on Thursday, April 24.
The pastor reportedly Amos was kidnapped at 12:15 a.m. at Kurmin Risga’s residence. The minister of the Catholic diocese of Kafakan, pastor Jacob Shanet, announced the kidnapping in a statement provided by a reporter in Kaduna.
“With deep sorrow, we write, proclaim that Father Ibrahim Amos was a parish priest of the parish of St. Gerald Quasi, and Pastor Kurmin Risga of the Kauru local government area of Kaduna State was kidnapped.
The grief incident took place on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at his residence Kurmin Risga, about 12:15 a.m. As we pray your prayers for His quick and safe release, we invite the public to avoid taking the law into our own hands.
We will use every legal and available means to ensure that Father Ibrahim Amos’ pastor is not harmed and in good health”
He prayed, “Blessed Virgin Mary, the priests and the mother of religion, all the angels continue to plead for us and bring him back to us for safety and stability.”
