Skeptic serial cat K! ller arrested in California

According to authorities, a suspected serial cat killer was arrested this week after being arrested in Southern California in an attempt to catch the cat. The Santa Ana Police Department released video Wednesday showing Alejandro Acosta Oliveros, 45, allegedly dug a cat between two cars in Orange County. His arrest comes in numerous reports of cats being abused and killed in the area.

Police said Oliveros was identified by multiple victims and witnesses and found evidence of the crime in his Santa Ana home. While detectives have not confirmed the exact number of cats allegedly killed, they believe it is a large number, and reports suggest that more than a dozen cats have been damaged. Local residents in Orange County have issued weeks of warnings to learn about a suspicious cat and dog who was attracted and kidnapped their pets on camera.

A disturbing post shared on NextDoor details an incident where a neighbor’s cat was allegedly killed after an unknown substance was injected into it. Another claim describes a man tying a cat’s legs and taking it away. Surveillance footage starting on March 21 also showed a man believed to be Oliveros, stole a 10-month-old Bengal mountain friend cat named Clubber, although Clubber was later returned.

Oliveros was booked in Santa Ana prison for felony animal abuse charges.
