Former Kenyan beauty queen Jennifer Waridi said she couldn’t date someone who earned less than N3M.
Lamu County, a former tourism director who is currently single and focused on her dreams, also said she can no longer date an unemployed person.
Speaking to a reporter, Warida revealed that she had dated an unemployed man and eventually became his bill, including paying rent.
Despite supporting him financially, the man later abandoned her.
This experience taught her a valuable lesson and shaped her current approach to relationships and life.
She stressed: “I can’t date a man who was unemployed. I tried this and learned the hard way. I even paid his rent! It was a scam and I believe women shouldn’t accept it.”
She went on to add that financial stability is a must for any potential partner.
She added: “I can only date someone who makes between 300,000 and 500,000 yuan of money. Living is very expensive. He has to be able to pay the rent and get me treated as a baby girl and of course, we can still save.”
When asked to describe her ideal partner, Volidy said she attracted wisdom deeply and valued someone who could challenge her spiritually.
“I want someone smarter than me. He shouldn’t be afraid of my big moves. He must have enough confidence to challenge me.”
